Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

- @Johnuniq: post this edit by Sammi Brie its vandals all around (specifically WP:CASTE based warriors).
- These include: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] (this user should be banned considering their disruptive caste-based edits all over en wiki), [6]/[7] (a very offensive caste slur is used in both of these edit summaries).
- The purpose of these edit wars by the IPs/sock accounts is to disparage certain castes by associating them with a Mughal empress. Gotitbro (talk) 06:45, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Reason: Recently I asked for protection of articles Kunti amd few others due to block evasion by User: NairaMahiHDPaakhiAadhya. Similarly, these pages are in constant vandal attack by sockpuppets and IPs of the same user. Banning the user doesn't help as they make similar disruptive edits using diff IPs and alt accounts.245CMR.•👥📜 17:42, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

Reason: After the previous protection expired, the pseudo-Ukrainian POV pushers returned to replace Kiev with Kyiv and Russian by Ukrainian. This has been going on for years, and the article is covered by WP:RUSUKR. We are clearly ready for an indefinite semi-protection. Ymblanter (talk) 20:43, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Ymblanter: I only have a faint recollection of the Kiev/Kyiv edit wars. I see that article talk refers to WP:KYIV. However, I've had a very hectic time off-wiki and am incapable of finding the wording in WP:KYIV that supports "Kiev" at Aleksandra Ekster. Reason: Hi, I request my user talk to be protected for some time due to repeated harassment by a cross-wiki abuser via IP. He changes it constantly and it's becoming quite annoying. Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.

Remove "the Israeli government has historically interpreted any criticism of its actions as antisemitism" from the last sentence of the last paragraph of the opening section.
This specific text should be removed, as it makes a poorly founded and sweeping statement via the wording of "any criticism", hence hurting the neutrality and quality of the page. None of the cited sources prove that the Israeli government claims "any criticism" of Israel is antisemitism.
Aside from the problematic wording of "any criticism", the text also links to another article on "Weaponization of antisemitism", which itself is a deeply contested and controversial discussion. The IHRA working definition of antisemitism has been widely adopted by numerous governments, academic institutions and NGOs and specifies instances where unfair criticisms of Israel, under certain circumstances, may be considered as antisemitic. The text in the article serves to directly dispute/discredit the IHRA working definition of antisemitism, which is inappropriate and biased for a Wikipedia article, particularly on such a contentious topic.
The text should instead mention the Israeli government's claims of antisemitism, while not claiming that it labels all criticisms as such. It is in fact incorrect to claim so, as numerous figures within the Israeli government itself, as well as prominent figures from Israeli society, are openly critical of Israel's current policies.
