Please replace the content of the article with User:Buidhe paid/eula.

Reason: To fix the cleanup banners, I rewrote the article based on reliable sources. Also, I fixed the globalize and OR issues by relying on secondary sources to summarize the situation in the United States rather than citing specific court verdicts. My draft is also restructured to avoid the criticism section. Much of its content is now covered by neutrally stated typical EULA provisions, while other parts are now covered in a Humor section. Wiki99 summary

[edit]

Summary of changes as a result of the Wiki99 project (before, after, diff):

  • Complete rewrite from reliable sources
  • Fixed unsourced content issues
  • Improved US-centric bias by including information on software copyright and EULA enforceability for other jurisdictions, such as the European Union
  • Added information on the origin of EULAs, the format in which they are delivered to the user, common provisions (such as unilateral license termination), and why companies use these licenses rather than sell copies of software

Further possibilities for improvement:

  • Get the article to good article status
