I think this phrase, "typical of an inhabitant of the provinces" is a gratuitous insult. Today one should be more politically correct - the etymology might suffer a bit but provincial residents will benefit. Pdn 22:22, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
Provincial means of or belonging to a province or region. I am unclear as to when to use the term provincial versus the posessive province's. Is it a provincial flag and a provincial team or a province's flag and a province's team. @*&%= Michael McGrath June 2007
